Cannon Ball Run
The Amelia Island Runners present the 3rd annual Cannon Ball Run on January 16, 2027 at Main Beach Park, 32 N. Fletcher Ave, Fernandina Beach, FL. The event offers two distances:
- 13.1 Miles half marathon course
- 3.12 Miles 5k on paved city streets
The 5k is entirely on paved city streets. The half marathon is primarily on paved streets with a short grass trail segment through Egan's Creek Greenway. The final miles of the half marathon pass through Ft Clinch State Park and end at the oceanfront Main Beach Park near the sand.
All finishers receive a medal. Overall male and female and age group awards will be presented. Age group awards for the 5k use 10 year categories; age group awards for the half marathon use 5 year categories. Water stops and port a potties will be available along both courses and at Main Beach Park. Event parking is available in nearby parking lots and on residential streets; participants are asked to follow parking laws. Strollers are allowed on the course. Pets are not allowed.
Participant perks include a long sleeved performance shirt for registrations by December 30, 2026 while sizing and availability last. Packet pick up is available Friday January 15 noon to 6pm at Game Changers Running Company, 1881 S 14th St #5, and on race day at Main Beach Park. Friday pickup is only for those registered by January 11, 2027 at 11:59pm. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals. The course closes 3.5 hours after the start.
