Race to Share the Gospel Around the World
The Tide ministry presents a hybrid fundraising event running from May 16 to May 31, 2026, held in person at Norlo Park, 5800 Cumberland Hwy, Chambersburg, PA, and available virtually from any location. The in person component includes a 5K run or walk and a 1 mile fun run or walk. In person registrants receive free registration for one virtual challenge option.
Virtual options run across the 16 day window and invite participants to run, walk, hike, swim, or ride at least 13 miles in total. Virtual participants log distances to reveal Milestone Markers on a progress map; each marker includes prayer suggestions tied to real places in a city in Thailand. The event states a fundraising goal of $15,000 to support outreach and programming in Thailand.
Additional features for the in person event include place medals for the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 12 and under; 13 to 21; 22 to 45; 46 and above. A free Family Fun Day runs alongside the race with activities, prizes, a free lunch, and door prize drawings. A signed waiver and wristband are required to join Family Fun Day activities, and minors need an adult to sign for them.
A Student Ministry Sponsor option offers group participation with a minimum of four students and a fundraising requirement per participant. The top student group wins a pizza party. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
