The route begins on the estuary slipway, features woodland sections, and finishes after an uphill final approach. The Half Marathon shares parts of the Classic route but omits two woodland loops, includes a roughly five-mile section on the South West Coast Path, and crosses the Erme estuary on the return at Wonwell. A three hour cut-off applies for the second estuary crossing on the Half Marathon.

The course will be fully marked and marshalled. First aid is provided on course and at headquarters. Head torches are mandatory. Dogs are not permitted with runners during the race.
