Dartmoor Volcano Race

Dartmoor Volcano Race, staged by OuterEdge Events, is a 10.5-mile, all-terrain fell race on southern Dartmoor. Starting and finishing in Scoriton, the route climbs to Ryder’s Hill and traverses rocky, boggy moorland, with the Red Lake Volcano as a focal point. The course includes three river crossings, a Clapper Bridge crossing, two bogs, a volcano ascent, and a long uphill start followed by a long downhill finish.

Fully marked and marshaled, it offers dramatic Dartmoor views and rugged terrain. Features include bespoke medals, optional T-shirts, a 200-participant limit, and a mandatory kit list. UKA licensed, with permission from Dartmoor National Park Authority.
