Race for the Rescues 5K Run/Walk with Your Dog
Race for the Rescues is a charity 5K held at the Alamo Heights Swimming Pool in San Antonio on 09/26/2026. The course runs through the Alamo Heights area and is described as semi-challenging. The event is pet-friendly and allows participants to run or walk alone, with dogs, or as part of a team.

Published entry fees are $40 for most individual 5K categories, $25 for the children 5K, and $35 for team entries. Teams that meet the 10-person minimum receive a $5 refund per entrant. The event offers a virtual option where participants may run a 5K on a course of their choice and submit a time; however, award eligibility requires completing the course in person at the Alamo Heights Swimming Pool.
Awards are given as medals and are based on chip time. Categories include overall winners, top finishers running with dogs, masters (over 50), and standard age-group placings for the individual 5K.
