One Flag Forward - San Antonio, TX
The event in San Antonio, TX is a community run/walk held at 3700 N St Mary's St on September 13, 2026. It is part of One Flag Forward, a multi-day relay during which a single American flag travels from New York City to Washington, D.C., and communities across the country run in solidarity as the flag makes its way to the Global War on Terrorism Memorial.
To recognize the 25 years since September 11, 2001, the local event uses a 2.5-mile loop completed repeatedly over a 2.5-hour period. The goal for participants is to complete as many loops as possible within that time frame. The format allows walking, running, or rucking.
One Flag Forward grew from a long-standing partnership between wear blue: run to remember and Team Red, White & Blue and aims to honor those who have served, those who serve today, and surviving family members. Over five days the flag travels roughly 250 miles and is passed through the hands of veterans, service members, military family members, Gold Star and surviving family members, and civilian supporters.
