Race for Life Stevenage
This Race for Life event takes place at Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage and is organised by Cancer Research UK as a fundraising run for cancer research. The event uses a route that starts and finishes on grass and follows a mix of paved pathways and grassy terrain. The course is typically run as a double lap and can be congested around the lake area. In wet weather grass sections may become soft or muddy and slippery.

The 10k entry is for participants aged 16 and over. Child entry is available for ages 6 to 15 and must be registered by a parent or guardian; children under 6 may attend free but will not be registered participants. The event is chip-timed and provides a finishers medal.
On-site facilities include refreshments, toilets, bike racks by the lakeside cafe, and accessibility for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The main meeting point is close to the Broadhall Way carpark, between Broadhall Way and Six Hills Way. Blue Badge parking is available on grass approximately 50 m from the event site. Public transport links note a bus stop with about a 14 minute walk from the Roaring Meg and Stevenage train station is about a 30 minute walk away.
