Chelmsford Pretty Muddy 5k : Hylands Park, 19 July 2026
Chelmsford Pretty Muddy is a 5 km obstacle event held within the grounds of Hylands Park, Greenbury Way, Chelmsford, CM2 8FS. The course is fully contained on grass with some slight inclines and undulating areas. The start line is on the open grass area behind Flint Cottage and the finish line is opposite the start line.

Entry prices listed for the event are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Start waves are staggered every 15 minutes to manage participants on the course. Participants must be at least 13 years of age on the event date.
Facilities available at the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not allowed and there is no bag drop or on-site showers. Blue badge parking and a designated drop-off zone are provided; there are approximately 20 cycle spaces in the main car park. There are no electric vehicle charging points at the venue.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans and support materials, access to an online community, and a Race for Life medal on completion. Accessibility provisions include sunflower wristbands, staff trained as Dementia Friends, and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.
