Sikhs In The City Dawn To Dusk Marathon & Ultra 2026
The event on Sunday 6 December 2026 is a multi-distance running event held at the car park of Teresa Gavin House, Southend Road, Woodford Green IG8 8FA. The course is a certified 2.014 km lap, mostly on tarmac, described as undulating and wheelchair friendly. Chip timing is used and lap splits are shown on a large electronic board.
Medals are awarded by laps completed: 11 laps for a 22 km medal, 21 laps for a Marathon medal, and at least 25 laps for an Ultra medal. The Team Relay Ultra is a fixed 50 km distance run over 25 laps, for teams of up to five runners; team entries are limited to 20. Overall entry limits are 299 for the Dawn To Dusk races and 99 for the 10 km, with a combined total of 398 entries. Minimum age is 18 years.
Facilities at the start/finish include bag drop, toilets, and a feeding station providing drinks, savouries, biscuits, chocolates, fruit, tea and coffee, and samosa/onion bhaji, plus a separate table for personal drinks. The event provides paramedic cover, marshals and insurance. Entry fees are listed per distance, and the organiser operates a no refund policy with the option of a deferred place for specified future events.
