Sikhs in the City Dawn to Dusk Marathon & Ultra 2026
This event uses a certified 2.014 km loop on mostly good tarmac in the car park area of Teresa Gavin House / Mulalley & Co, Southend Road, Woodford Green IG8 8FA. The course is described as undulating and wheelchair friendly. Chip timing is used and lap times are displayed on a large electronic board at the start/finish.
Medals are awarded for completing lap targets on the loop: 11 laps for a 22 km medal, 21 laps for a marathon medal, and 25 laps for an ultra medal. The Team Relay Ultra is a fixed 50 km distance (25 laps) for teams of up to five runners; only the team captain enters team details. Team entries are limited to 20 to control the number of runners on course.
Basic facilities include bag drop, toilets and a feeding station at the start/finish serving drinks, savouries, biscuits, chocolates, fruit, tea and coffee, plus samosa and onion bhaji, and a separate table for personal drinks. The event provides paramedics and marshals and is fully insured. The course is certified for distance and the marathon and ultra count towards 100 Marathon Club totals.
Entry limits and fees are published. Entries are limited in number and close on 25 November 2026. The organiser operates a no refund policy with a one year deferral to specified future events. Race numbers must be collected on the day and timing chips are returnable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
