Huddersfield Race for Life
Huddersfield Race for Life takes place in Greenhead Park, Trinity Street, Huddersfield, HD1 4DT on Sunday 21 June 2026. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK and lists entry fees of £15.99 and £11.00 for children. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 is stated.
The course starts and finishes on grass near the Greenhead Railway and the park café. The route is a double lap and runs on a mix of grass and paths. Participants may bypass grass sections, but doing so can change the overall distance. The majority of the route is fairly flat with small downhill and uphill sections. The course description notes hardstanding paths, rolling undulations, and short grass sections with twists and turns through the park.
Meeting point details place the start and finish within the main field behind the café, next to the miniature railway station. The closest pedestrian entrance is on Park Drive. Public transport notes that buses from Huddersfield Bus Station take about three minutes to reach Greenhead Park and that Huddersfield Westgate train station is opposite the bus station.
Facilities on site include refreshments, toilets, dog allowance, pushchair suitability, and wheelchair access with assistance. Bike racks are available by the bowling greens and tennis courts. A Race for Life medal is provided at the finish and participants receive a fundraising pack and other support materials. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
