Harrogate 5k
Harrogate 5k is part of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life series and takes place at The Stray in Harrogate on Sunday 05 July 2026. The event is open to participants aged 16 and over. The listed entry fee is £15.99 and the minimum fundraising target is £50.00.
The course starts and finishes on grass and follows a combination of grass, tarmac path and undulated ground. It is mostly flat with a slight incline over a bridge. The meeting point is within an open field on The Stray near where Oatland Drive meets Slingsby Walk. The what3words location for the start is ///defeat.rust.system.
General event parking is not available at the venue. Drop off points and road closures affect Oatlands Drive and Stray Rein on event day. Blue badge parking and volunteer parking are accessed via the Bede House entrance into St. Aidan's School on Oatland's Drive with steward direction. The nearest train station is Harrogate Train Station which is an 18 minute walk to the event site. Bus access is available. There are no bike racks.
Available facilities include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed. The site is described as suitable for pushchairs and wheelchair accessible with assistance because much of the route is on grass. Sunflower wristbands will be available at the enquiries marquee and a QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content.
