Fife 10k
The event takes place at Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy and is organised by Cancer Research UK. Available distances are listed below.
- 10k (double lap of the 5k course)
- 5k
- 3k
The start and finish are on grass on the field adjacent to Kirkcaldy Rugby Club. The route loops around the park and moves between the perimeter pavement and grass. The course includes tarmac and large sections of grass, passes the boating lake and play parks, and features hills with a maximum gradient of 6 percent. The 10k is a double lap of the 5k course. In wet weather the grass sections may become soft or muddy; avoiding the grass removes about 2 km per lap.
Transport and parking notes: general event parking is not available; drop offs, blue badge parking and volunteer parking use Beveridge Park Car Park. The nearest train station is Kirkcaldy, approximately a ten minute walk. Bus services stop a short walk from the park and the nearest park entrance for pedestrians is on Abbotshall Road.
