Event overview
The Edinburgh MoRun on 22 November 2025 takes place at Holyrood Park, Queen's Drive, EH8 8HG. The event includes chip-timed races over the following distances:
- 1.5 km (Mini MoRun)
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
The 5 km is one lap of the route, the 10 km is two laps and the half marathon is four laps. The course is essentially road running, hilly for the first 2 km, and is dog friendly, suitable for pushchairs and for wheelchair use. The event supports the Movember charity and participants can make donations or set up fundraising pages when they register.
Practical information
Entries close on 16 November 2025; entries are currently closed but limited on-the-day entries may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All races use full race chip timing with instant results. Race placings are based on gun time; both gun and net times are provided.
Registered participants receive a MoRun medal, a finisher headband and race timing via a chip-on-bib. Drinks and snacks are provided at the finish and there are additional bonus medals and spot prizes for categories such as best dressed. Facilities include toilets in the event hub and limited bag storage under gazebos. Parking in and around the park is available but limited; one service carpark is reserved for event crew and is not for public parking. Marshals will be positioned around the course and participants should keep to the left unless directed otherwise. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
