Event overview

The Hermitage 10km, 5km and 1.2km trail runs are scheduled for 22 November 2026 at the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill. The event includes trail races and a festive fun run. All proceeds from the fun run will be donated to Friends of the Hermitage and Braid and Morningside Primary School.

The 5km and 10km follow a one-lap course that starts at the Hermitage of Braid house and follows off-road routes up and over Blackford Hill. Runs are clearly marked and marshaled on off-road routes.

Additional information

Children entered in the fun run receive an elf hat to run in and take away; festive wear is encouraged. Participants receive a post-race drink and snack and a race memento.
