Hermitage Trail Runs
The Hermitage Trail Runs take place within the scenery of the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill. This off-road event features multiple distances conducted on marked and marshaled routes.
Course Details
Both the 5 km and 10 km trail runs consist of a single-lap course. The routes start at the Hermitage of Braid house and travel over the terrain of Blackford Hill. The event also includes a shorter distance focused on a festive theme.

Event Participation and Amenities
Participants in the 1.2 km festive fun run receive an elf hat to wear during the activity and take home. Festive attire is encouraged for those participating in this specific distance. Following the completion of the runs, participants are provided with a post-race drink and a snack, along with a race memento.
Proceeds from the fun run portion of the event are donated to the Friends of the Hermitage and Braid, as well as Morningside Primary School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
