Event overview
The Hermitage trail runs take place at the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill on 23 November 2025. The event features off-road running on routes that are clearly marked and marshaled. The 5km and 10km races follow a one-lap course that starts at the Hermitage of Braid house and runs up and over Blackford Hill.

All proceeds from the fun run will be donated to Friends of the Hermitage and Braid and Morningside Primary School. Children who enter the fun run receive an elf hat to wear and take away; festive wear is encouraged for the fun run.
