Entry is for people aged 16 and over. The published entry prices are £17.49 for adults and £11.00 for children. The minimum fundraising target is £50.00.
The start and finish are on grass on the main playing fields. The course is mainly on roads, includes one large incline, and the first 1 km is on grass. The route is wheelchair accessible, though the steep incline may require assistance.
On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed, and the route is suitable for pushchairs. There is no parking at the event, no drop off point, no electric vehicle charging points, no bag drop and no showers. Pedestrian routes to the park are open and several buses stop a short walk from the start. The closest train station is Edinburgh Waverley.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans and community support, and a Race for Life medal on completion. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, Event Managers have dementia awareness training, and a QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content.
