Colchester 5k 2027
Colchester Race for Life is a 5k running and fundraising event organised by Cancer Research UK at Lower Castle Park in Colchester on Sunday 18 July 2027. The start and finish are located on the main grass field next to the bowling green.
The route is mainly on grass and paths and includes a few inclines. Some sections close to the river can become soft or muddy after wet weather, and parts of the site can become waterlogged in wet conditions. For this reason wheelchair users are expected to require assistance for some parts of the course. The event is described as wheelchair accessible with assistance.
There is no parking at the venue. NCP Colchester High Street public car park is about a five minute walk away. Blue Badge parking is not available at the venue. Bus services and Colchester train station are a short walk from the park. There are no bike racks or electric vehicle charging points at the site.
Available on-event facilities include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed and the site is suitable for pushchairs. Some event services are not available, including bag drop, showers and onsite parking.
Entry fees are listed from £5.50 to £7.99 and the event has a minimum fundraising target of £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a finishers medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
