Colchester 5k - Race for Life (18 July 2027)
Colchester 5k is a fundraising running event organised by Cancer Research UK at Lower Castle Park, High Street, Colchester, CO1 1XN on Sunday 18 July 2027. The event distance is 5k and carries a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Earlybird entry fees listed are £7.99 for those aged 16 and over and £5.50 for children.
The route starts and finishes on grass within the main field next to the bowling green. The course is mainly on grass and paths and includes a few inclines. In wet weather some areas near the river can become soft and muddy; for this reason wheelchair users are expected to require assistance. The event site and course may be waterlogged in prolonged wet conditions.
There is no parking at the venue; NCP Colchester High Street public car park is about a five minute walk away. Blue Badge parking is not available. Bus services and Colchester train station are within a short walking distance. There are no on-site bike racks or electric vehicle charging points.
Available on event day are refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed and the event is described as suitable for pushchairs.
