Cheshire - Tatton Park Pretty Muddy 5k
The Cheshire - Tatton Park Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle event taking place at Tatton Park on Saturday 26 June 2027. The course runs across parts of the park's 1,000 acre estate and includes climbing, crawling and sliding elements. Surfaces are a mixture of grass and gravel and ground conditions are generally very uneven.
Start and finish are on the showground next to the adventure playground; attendees are asked to use the Rostherne Gate or Mere Gate entrances. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes to manage runner flow. Marshals are present on course and obstacles may be skipped if assistance is needed.
Entry requires participants to be 13 years of age or older on the event date. There are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for younger children. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Blue Badge parking is available at the venue, approximately 100 metres from the event site on a gravel track. General parking is free. There are no electric vehicle charging points, no bus service to the event, and no bike racks.
Facilities available include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are not allowed. Bag drop and showers are not available. The event lists a minimum fundraising target of £50 and earlybird prices from £6.00 to £11.24. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support materials, access to a community forum and a finishers medal.
