Race for Life Chelmsford - Hylands Park
The event, organised by Cancer Research UK, is held within the grounds of Hylands Park in Chelmsford. The course is mainly on grass with some gravel and woodland paths, and includes slight inclines and undulating areas. The start and finish are on open grass behind Flint Cottage, with the finish opposite the start.

The route is fully contained within the park. In wet weather the grass and woodland sections may become soft or muddy, and the ground underfoot can be uneven. The event is chip timed.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets, bag drop, and parking. Showers are not suitable and the event is not wheelchair accessible; a nearby accessible event is noted at Basildon. Blue badge parking is available approximately 100 m from the event site and a designated drop-off zone is provided. There are about 20 cycle spaces in the main car park and a bus stop for First Bus service 351 outside the park. The nearest railway station is about 3.5 miles away.
A minimum fundraising target of £50 applies. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support, community access, and a Race for Life medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
