Aberystwyth Race for Life event information
The event takes place at The Bandstand, Marine Terrace, Aberystwyth SY23 2BX and offers multiple distance options for participants.

The course is a road closed, single lap route that starts and finishes on Marine Terrace by the Bandstand. The route passes Constitution Hill, the castle, the marina and Aberystwyth FC. The 10k route includes an additional section along the Afon Rheidol cycle path to a U turn before rejoining near Maesyrafon Car Park. Surfaces include tarmac and hard standing paths. There are steep inclines and declines on South Marine Terrace between Quay Road and the cycle path, and some two way sections on the cycle path may cause local congestion.
There is no official event parking; participants are advised to use town centre car parks. Recommended nearby car parks include Avenue de Saint Brieuc and Lower Park Avenue. South Beach and Maesyrafon car parks will be closed during the event with restricted vehicle movement, and a small number of spaces at Maesyrafon will be coned off for safety and reopen once the route is clear. Blue Badge parking is available close to North Road Car Park, approximately a five minute walk from the site. The start area is about an eight minute walk from Aberystwyth train station. An electric charging point is available at Lower Park Avenue Car Park, about 0.7 miles away.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets, dogs allowed, suitability for pushchairs and wheelchair accessibility with assistance. Bag drop, showers and official parking are not provided. A minimum fundraising target of £50 applies. Earlybird entry prices shown are £8.74 for those aged 16 and over and £5.50 for children.
