Race for Life Aberystwyth 10k (10 May 2026)
Race for Life Aberystwyth is a fundraising running event held on Sunday 10 May 2026 at The Bandstand, Marine Terrace. Distances offered include:

The start and finish are on hardstanding on the Promenade outside the bandstand. The course runs on pavement, roads and the Afon Rheidol cycle route along the coastline. For 2026 the route is run in reverse, passing the Richmond Hotel, Constitution Hill, Marine Terrace and Aberystwyth FC, with a U-turn along the river before rejoining at Maesyrafon Car Park.
This is a road-closed event and several town centre streets will be affected. There is no official event parking; organisers list town centre car parks recommended as nearby options and North Road Car Park as the closest for Blue Badge and volunteer parking. The train station is about an eight minute walk from the start. Some bike racks are available near the rail station and Plascrug Leisure Centre.
The 10k has an overall ascent of 59 m, a generally flat profile on hardstanding, and a maximum short gradient of about 20 percent for roughly 3 m. Course width is 3 m or more. Sand from the coastline can make pavements slippery in places. Sunflower wristbands, a QR code for British Sign Language content, and on-site staff trained as Dementia Friends are available for accessibility support.
Participants must be aged 16 or over. Entry fees listed are £17.49 for adults and £11.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support, access to an online community, and a Race for Life finisher medal.
