Aberdyfi Half Marathon

The Dyfi Half is a trail running event located in Aberdyfi, situated at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park. The race features two main distance options:

  • Half Marathon (21.1 km)
  • Marathon (42.2 km - two laps)

The route includes 850m of height gain, with the highest point reaching 320m above sea level. This course takes participants through sections of the Wales Coast Path and the UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere. The event is recognized as a UTMB Index Race in the 20K category.

Participants are expected to select appropriate gear based on trail experience. Depending on weather forecasts, specific kit requirements may be made mandatory at registration, including a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, and a spare insulation layer such as a fleece or light down jacket.

Registration is located one minute away from the Aberdyfi train station, which sits on the Cambrian Coast line. For those traveling by car, pay and display parking is available at the main village car park and near Neuadd Dyfi.
