Race for Education
Race for Education takes place on November 7, 2026, on the University of South Florida campus in Tampa (4202 E Fowler Ave., 33620). The event is presented by Hillsborough County Public Schools, the Hillsborough Education Foundation, and the USF College of Education.
The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile (untimed)
The 5K is chip timed. Registration options and fees are listed by the organizer: an early 5K fee of $40 applies through October 7 and increases to $45 thereafter through race day; the 1-mile fee is $20 through race day. Registration opening and closing windows are provided by the organizer.
Registration includes a swag bag with a race-day bib, partner freebies, and a shirt; all finishers receive a medal. Race-day amenities noted by the organizer include post-race food and drink, goodie bags, and student music performances along the route. The 5K awards include overall male and female awards and age-group awards (1st through 3rd in five-year age groups).
