Race For a Ride
Race For a Ride is a charity event taking place in Chicago, Illinois. The event is centered in Lincoln Park at Grove 2, located just north of the Benjamin Franklin Monument. This is the second annual edition of the race, which serves as a community fundraiser to provide a wheelchair-accessible van for a local child.
The event offers two main participation options:
- 5k Run (In-person)
- 5K Virtual Run
The in-person gathering is designed to be family-oriented and inclusive. The course is open to individuals who wish to walk, run, or roll. Strollers, pets, and wheelchairs are explicitly welcome on the course.
Participants who cannot attend the event in person at Lincoln Park have the option to join via the virtual 5K category. This allows for participation from different locations while still supporting the primary cause of the event. The registration fee for both the physical and virtual entries is set at $75.00.
The gathering brings the community together to support accessibility, safety, and freedom for a family in need. Registration remains open until the day of the event for the in-person race, while the virtual registration extends slightly longer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
