Rab Pinnacle Ridge Extreme 2027
The Rab Pinnacle Ridge Extreme is a sky race on 17 July 2027 in Patterdale, running around the Helvellyn Massif in the English Lake District, a UNESCO area. The course distance is 28 km with 2700 m of ascent. The route includes technical ground, hands on rock sections, scrambling and steep ascents and descents.
Entries open 2 October 2026 and close 4 July 2027. The minimum age to enter is 19 on the event date. Entry fees are listed as £110, rising to £120 from 06/12/2026 and £130 from 31/03/2027.
The entry process requires applicants to detail relevant mountain running, race and scrambling experience for review. Organisers require completion of several named mountain races within the past five years or equivalent significant mountain enchainments or challenges. Significant rock climbing experience is a required element for entry. No payment is taken at application stage; applications are reviewed, usually within 96 hours. Successful applicants are asked to complete payment through the online entries system. The Race Director has final decision authority and deliberate misleading may result in expulsion.
Included in the entry fee are a fully marked course, a post race meal with vegan gluten free and meat options, a compostable finisher medal, GPS tracking and timing by Open Tracking, and a professional, mountain qualified safety team.
