Rab Pinnacle Ridge Extreme 2027 : event overview
The Rab Pinnacle Ridge Extreme is a single-day sky race taking place on 17 July 2027 around the Helvellyn Massif, with a race distance of 28 km and 2700 m of ascent. The route is fully marked and includes technical ground, hands on rock sections and scrambling lines typical of skyrunning terrain near Patterdale in the English Lake District.
Entry is by application and vetting. Competitors must be at least 19 years old on race day and must demonstrate relevant mountain and climbing experience. Applicants are asked to detail recent mountain races or long mountain runs, significant mountain challenges or direct rock climbing and scrambling experience. No payment is taken at the application stage; applications are reviewed, usually within 96 hours, and successful applicants are redirected to SI Entries to complete payment.
Included in the entry fee are course marking, GPS tracking and timing by Open Tracking, a post-race meal with vegan and gluten free options, a compostable finisher medal, and a professional mountain qualified safety team. Optional purchases available via SI Entries include a cotton event tee, branded goat bells, and post-race massage.
