Event details
The Quiet Silence event takes place in Lake Mills, WI on December 5-6, 2025. Two distances are offered:
- 50k - out-and-back; 8-hour limit; price $85.
- 25k - out-and-back; 4-hour limit; price $55.
The event is clock timed. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers. The event is organized by TYDISH Wildera & Collective in partnership with Chase the Sun Running Co.
Course and logistics
Both courses use a section of the Glacial Drumlin State Trail and start at Rotary Park in Lake Mills (191 Sandy Beach Rd). The trail surface is mostly flat, crushed gravel. The 50k turns around at the western terminus of the Glacial Drumlin in Cottage Grove; the halfway mark at the turnaround includes warm food, snacks, and volunteers. For the 50k one unsupported drop bag is allowed on the way out and will be located at an outdoor pavilion roughly 8 miles from the start; it will be passed again around mile 23 on the return. For the 25k one supported drop bag is allowed at the turnaround, approximately 8 miles, and there is no other aid on that course.
