Watertown Jig Jog 5K
The Watertown Jig Jog 5K is a community walk/run held in Watertown, Wisconsin, with the start and finish located by the Watertown Public Library and Bentzin Family Town Square. The course is a 5K on city streets and passes historic homes including the Octagon House. The route is marked with cones, staffed by volunteers in reflective vests, and has a halfway aid station offering water, Gatorade and Lucky Charms. Indoor restrooms are available at the library and Webster Elementary School, which sits roughly halfway along the course.
Event features include live music, free raffles, spirit awards for creative attire, and awards for age group placings plus overall winners. Two school awards of $250 will be given based on enrollment size. The event typically draws over 500 walkers and runners. All proceeds support teachers and classrooms in public and private schools; last year the event raised over $17,500 and helped the Educational Foundation of Watertown distribute over $50,000 to local schools.
Packet pickup is available at the Watertown Public Library the day before the event during a Friday noon to 6pm window. Registration policies note shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after March 3 and that registration fees are nonrefundable.
