The Watertown Jig Jog 5K takes place on March 14, 2026 in Watertown, WI. The event includes these distances:
- 5K (Individual)
- 0.5 mile (Kids Run, open to ages 10 and under)
- Family 5K / Family 0.5 mile (family bundle for up to five household members; timing not available)
Entry for the Individual 5K and the Kids Run includes a long sleeve shirt and a swag bag. The family bundle includes short sleeve shirts for registered household members. Registration refunds are not offered. All proceeds support teachers and classrooms in both public and private schools; last year the event raised over $17,500, which helped the Educational Foundation of Watertown distribute over $50,000 to local schools.
Course and logistics
The 5K run/walk takes place on the streets of Watertown and begins and ends near the Watertown Public Library and Bentzin Family Town Square. The route will be marked with cones; volunteers in reflective vests will be on course. Water, Gatorade and Lucky Charms are available at the halfway point. The Little Leprechaun Fun Run is about 0.4 miles, up and back on Water Street; children receive a special award at the finish.
Packet pickup is available at Watertown Public Library the day before the event. Parking at the library is limited; street parking is available. Indoor bathrooms are at the library and at Webster Elementary, which is along the route. Awards are given by age group and overall, plus two school awards of $250.
