Queens NYC Chiller Half, 10K, 5K
This set of races takes place in Flushing Meadow Corona Park around the Unisphere and Rocket Thrower installations, using a runner-designed course called The Rocket with tree-lined promenades and city vistas. The course is looped and chip timed per loop with digital mapping, live tracking, live streaming, and real time results and splits.
Distances:
- 13.1 miles - four 3.27 mile loops
- 10K - two loops of about 3.1 miles each
- 5K - one loop of the course
Race packet information notes that BIB pick-up is on race day only and is available 30 to 60 minutes before each race. Timing devices are placed at the U-turns and at two additional locations to provide splits each time a runner passes the start and the other timing points. Results and lap splits are posted live on the results page.
Included amenities and services listed for all distances are a race bib, technical shirt, commemorative finisher medal, age group awards, finisher photos and personalized video, and live tracking. The event provides free pictures and video on the results page, baggage check, portable and public toilets at the start and on the course, and water stations approximately every 1.5 miles offering gels and sports drink.
