About the race
Queens Marathon Weekend 2026 is a two-day set of road races in Queens, New York, scheduled for early December 2026. Weekend events are split between Flushing Meadows Corona Park and a new Long Island City street course near LaGuardia Community College.
Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
The full marathon and the QDR Half Marathon are moving from Flushing Meadows Corona Park onto streets in Long Island City because of continued flooding around Meadow Lake. Organizers describe the change as the start of a plan to extend the marathon into additional Queens neighborhoods over time.
Participant numbers have grown in recent years, with roughly 500 runners in 2023, more than 1,000 in 2024, and over 2,000 attendees in 2025. The event has supported local causes including NYC Kids RISE and college savings accounts for Queens third graders. Awards are given to the top three overall and top three in age groups for male, female, and non-binary divisions.
Logistics notes published for the weekend include transit guidance: the 7 train serves Mets–Willets Point for Flushing Meadows, and the 7, E, M, R, or G trains serve Long Island City start areas. Registration fees are non refundable and membership options provide discounted pricing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
