Queen City Trail Series - Copper Division
The Queen City Trail Series - Copper Division is a multi-race trail series based in Houghton, with a championship event held in Marquette. The series runs monthly from May through September with a final championship in October. Races take place on local trail systems, including Masto Trails and Michigan Tech Trails.
Each month features a single race for this division with distances that vary by event. Registration for the series races is free. Two specific race dates are held on the Michigan Tech Trails and require an active MTU trails day pass to participate.
Scoring uses a proportional points system tied to each race’s winning time, with the first-place finisher able to earn up to 15 points. Points are awarded proportionally so that athletes who run more races can accumulate points across the series relative to single-race performances.
The series schedule includes multiple trail formats and distances, and it concludes with a championship in October where division winners and the overall series winner are acknowledged.
