Quayside 5K & 10K, Newcastle upon Tyne
The Quayside 5K & 10K is a road-closed evening race held on Wednesday 5 August 2026 at the Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 3DE. The event is organised by RunThrough in partnership with Gateshead Harriers and forms part of the Top Flight Race Series.
Both distances follow a scenic out-and-back route along the Quayside and pass the Swing Bridge, run beneath the High Level Bridge, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge and Redheugh Bridge, and offer views of the Tyne Bridge, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, The Glasshouse and the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. The course finishes beside the Millennium Bridge.

Included with entry are a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned along the course. The event features an event village with food and drink options and free items from partners.
