Ooops I Ran It Again - North
This event is a Britney inspired running event held at Herrington Country Park in New Herrington. The organiser offers a 7 hour Time Challenge format that lets participants choose how many laps to complete. Walkers are also welcome and participants may wear Britney themed outfits.
Distances available include:
- 3 km minimum distance (part of a lap)
- Full lap 7 km or 4.37 miles (may change to a 3.28 mile loop)
- 3 laps equals a half marathon
- 6 laps equals a marathon
- 7 or more laps is an ultra; 50 km distance available
- 5 km and 10 km options
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a Britney themed medal. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon and longer achievements, with one pin attached to the medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option available if requested at entry. An aid table and drinks are provided at the start and finish of each lap, with savoury and sweet snacks and vegan choices.
Venue facilities include toilets at the start/finish area. There is pay and display parking in the city centre and nearby streets; runners must not use the rowing club car park. Number pick up is on the day at race registration. A non secure bag drop is available. Headphones are allowed and the course uses public footpaths.
