The Northumberlandia 10K Trail Race
The Northumberlandia 10K Trail Race takes place at the unique Northumberlandia landform and its surrounding countryside in Cramlington. Participants have the opportunity to run across a significant structure and explore restricted areas of a former open-cast site. The course features a mix of terrain, including hills, stone paths, soft trails, and forest tracks.
The event offers two distinct running opportunities:
- 10 km trail race for participants aged 18 and older.
- 1 mile children's fun run consisting of a loop around the landform.
The course is fully way-marked and includes a water station located at the fourth mile. Facilities at the venue include an event village with various stalls, an on-site café, toilets, and parking. The park remains open until late on the day of the event, allowing participants to use the facilities after finishing their run. All finishers receive a bespoke medal.
