QDR Jackson Heights Mile & Relay
The QDR Jackson Heights Mile & Relay takes place on August 29, 2026 in Jackson Heights, NY at Northern Playground (33-61 94th St). The event is presented by Queens Distance Runners and includes in-person and virtual participation options.
Race options include:
- Age Grouper Mile 19+ - timed event
- Age Grouper Mile 18 & under - timed event
- Competitive Mile - timed event
- Community Mile - timed event
- Relay Teams - teams of four, each runs 1/4 mile
- Kids 400 m Dash - untimed quarter mile
- Virtual 1 Mile Run/Walk - mail option for bibs
The course runs south on 94th Street with a single right turn onto the south road of 34th Avenue. Runners pass 91st, 86th, and 81st Streets on the quarter marks and finish near 76th Street. The route has a slight incline near 82nd Street and a sustained downhill for nearly the final 400 meters.
Awards are given to the top three overall in each heat by male, female, and X categories, and to the top three in age group divisions 29 and under, 30 to 39, and 40 plus. Baggage may be checked at Travers Park at least 30 minutes before a heat. Bib pickup is available at Travers Park on race day and virtual bibs are shipped.
