Runner's Edge Long Island Women's 5K Run/Walk - Farmingdale, NY
The Runner's Edge Long Island Women's 5K Run/Walk takes place on July 11, 2026 at Farmingdale High School Track in South Farmingdale, New York. The event includes a USATF sanctioned 5 kilometer road course that starts and finishes at the high school and finishes on the track. Two water stations are available on course.
Distances offered:
- 5 kilometers through tree-lined streets, USATF certified course, two water stations.
- 1/4 mile Kids Free Fun Run for ages 12 and under, untimed.
Every 5K registrant receives a top quality shirt. Personalized bibs are provided for those who register three weeks before race day; day-of bib pickup is available on the track infield. Results are provided live online, by text, and by email, and finish line photos are available free on the same day.
Awards include Runner's Edge gift cards for top overall finishers and category winners, a top wheelchair award, masters and senior masters awards, and medals in five-year age groups from 14 and under through 80 plus. A Paula Wunderlich Memorial Award is given to the fastest GLIRC member. A portion of net proceeds supports Girls on the Run Long Island.
