Runner's Edge Long Island Women's 5K Run/Walk - Farmingdale High School Track
This event takes place on July 11, 2026 at Farmingdale High School Track in South Farmingdale, New York. It offers running and walking options on a certified course and a separate untimed kids fun run.

- 1/4 mile kids fun run (12 and under)
The 5K route runs through tree lined streets of Farmingdale. It is a USATF sanctioned event on a USATF certified course, starts and finishes at Farmingdale High School, and finishes on the track. The course provides two water stations.
Included amenities and services comprise a top quality shirt, finisher medal, live results delivered online/text/email, free finish line photos, Cosmos Ice Cream, and personalized bibs for registrants who register three weeks in advance. Early bib pickup is scheduled; day of pickup is available on the track infield.
Awards and prizes include Runner's Edge gift cards for top overall finishers, age-group medals in five-year brackets, special awards for masters and wheelchair competitors, and the Paula Wunderlich Memorial Award for the fastest GLIRC member. A Runner's Edge raffle requires presence to win and features a grand prize of three pairs of shoes, plus additional shoe prizes, gift cards, and starter swag bags.
