Sri Chinmoy 5K & Half-Marathon in Flushing Meadows Corona Park
This event takes place on July 11, 2026 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Meadowlark Circle, New York. It offers two measured road race distances on a looped course that starts at the north end of Meadow Lake and passes several park landmarks.
- 5K - one loop
- Half-Marathon (13.1 miles) - one 5K loop plus three 5.37K loops
The course is mostly flat and accurately measured; it is USATF certified (NY16032JG for the 5K, NY18033JG for the Half-Marathon) and passes the Unisphere, Fountain of the Planets, Queens Zoo, New York State Pavilion, and Queens Museum of Art. Aid stations are provided approximately every mile.
Amenities listed for participants include free parking, bag check, race hats for all entrants, custom finisher medals, and freshly made fruit smoothies after the finish. Registration opens December 17, 2025; published early prices are $30.60 for the 5K and $51.20 for the Half-Marathon, with later price increases noted in the event information. Packet shipping is available for US addresses for an additional fee and packets will ship on July 3; on-site packet pickup is offered before the race.
Time limits, age minimums, award categories and other policies are published for the event. If the in-person race is canceled for reasons beyond organizer control, the event may be converted to a virtual race with giveaways and awards mailed to participants.
