Statue of Liberty 5K
The Statue of Liberty 5K is a July 4 event at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey, presented to benefit Special Olympics New Jersey. The event supports year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health screenings that the organization provides at no cost to athletes.
Organizers describe this as the only official race around the Statue of Liberty. For 2026 the event is limited to 500 runners. Final event logistics are still being confirmed in connection with the 250th Anniversary celebration and other planned events; registration will open once those details are finalized.
