Event details
The PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for January 31, 2026 in Scottsdale, AZ at the Horizon High School football field (5601 E Greenway Rd). The event is a 5K community run/walk and is presented as the 16th annual edition. Entry fee is listed as $10, with no charge for ages 0–10. No refunds will be issued. T-shirts will be provided the day of the event to registered participants in sizes S to XXL and a limited number of youth sizes; the source notes a registration deadline of January 17, 2025 to guarantee a shirt and that attendees must be present to receive a shirt.
Course, services and awards
The course starts from the Horizon High School football field, exits south at the back gate, heads east on Nisbet Rd to Greenway Rd, continues down 64th St to Acoma, then up 56th St back to Nisbet and returns to finish on the field. Two aid stations are on course: one on 64th St just south of Greenway and one at the elementary school on Acoma near 60th Street. Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the race. The event is chip-timed by Race Timers and results will be posted on PVUSD's website. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age division: 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Pets are not permitted on the premises. The program includes a health fair, a kids dash for ages 10 and under, and an awards ceremony.
