PV Schools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk
The PV Schools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for January 30, 2027 at Horizon High School Football Field in Scottsdale, AZ. The event is the 17th edition and aims to raise awareness and encourage district employees, their families, and the community to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle. Registration opens August 20, 2026 and closes January 30, 2027. The base registration fee is $10.00; a small online registration service fee may apply. Children aged 10 and under attend free with parental supervision but must be registered so a T-shirt size can be selected and a waiver can be signed. Registering by January 15, 2027 guarantees a race T-shirt; T-shirts are distributed only to participants who attend the event. No refunds will be issued. When registering, participants must select their school or site to be eligible for site-based awards.
Event activities include a health fair, a kids dash for children 10 and under held before the main run, and an awards ceremony. The course leaves the football field south at the back gate, follows Nisbet Road east to Greenway Road, continues down 64th Street to Acoma, then up 56th Street back to Nisbet and returns to finish on the field. Two aid stations are on course: one on 64th Street just south of Greenway and one at the elementary school on Acoma near 60th Street.
