Event overview
The PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk takes place on January 31, 2026 at Horizon High School Football Field in Scottsdale, AZ (5601 E Greenway Rd, 85254). The event is presented as an annual community run and is in its 16th year. Entry price is $10, with free registration for ages 0-10. The event is chip-timed and results will be posted on the PVUSD website. No refunds will be issued. A small online registration fee is charged by the registration platform. T-shirts in sizes S to XXL and limited youth sizes are provided on the day of the event to registered participants; the t-shirt guarantee deadline is listed as January 17, 2025. Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the race.
Course, services and awards
The course starts by exiting the Horizon High School football field at the back gate, heading east on Nisbet Rd to Greenway Rd, continuing down 64th St to Acoma, then up 56th St back to Nisbet and reentering the field to finish. There are two aid stations: one on 64th St just south of Greenway and one at the elementary school on Acoma near 60th Street. Event activities include registration/check-in, a health fair, a kids dash for ages 10 and under, stretching, and an awards ceremony. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age division: 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
