10th Annual 5K For Hope : Rio Vista Community Park
The 10th Annual 5K For Hope is a community fundraising event held at Rio Vista Community Park in Peoria, Arizona. The event raises money for Families Raising Hope to provide financial support for Arizona families dealing with cancer, including help with groceries, utilities, rent, and transportation. The fundraising program shows donations and team fundraising totals.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1-Mile Fun Run
- Virtual Run with event shirt and finisher medal mailed after the event for U.S. addresses
All finishers receive a custom event medal; in-person participants may choose a custom Dri-Fit shirt or opt out for a reduced fee. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups. The event uses chip timing with real time results and event photos available after the race. Pre- and post-race refreshments such as granola bars, fruit, water, and sports drink are provided.
Race-day procedures include packet pickup and on-site registration; wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are allowed but must start at the back of the field. Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on the course. The event proceeds rain or shine and does not offer refunds for weather-related issues.
