Punk Panther Nidderdale Way
Punk Panther Nidderdale Way is a multi-distance trail event on the Nidderdale Way, a 55 mile route set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The route passes notable Yorkshire locations including Ripley Castle, Brimham Rocks, Scar House Reservoir and How Stean Gorge. The event offers a full loop option plus shorter point to point or partial loop distances.
Available distances:
- 13 miles - 1700 ft climb
- 20 miles - 2800 ft climb
- 32 miles - 4700 ft climb
- 55 miles - 7500 ft climb
ITRA points and UTMB qualification correspond to the distances with ITRA points of 1, 1, 2 and 3 and UTMB designations Q20K, Q20K, Q50K and Q100K respectively. Minimum age is 18 and the event has a maximum field of 200 entrants. Registration is at Pateley Bridge Cricket Club, Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire HG3 5HQ.
All entrants receive a tracker at registration that must be worn for the race; the tracker includes an emergency button and shows progress on the event tracker screen. Provisional GPX files and a final route description will be issued before the event. Random kit checks take place on course and not carrying required kit may result in disqualification. Each checkpoint provides drinks and snacks with a separate box for vegan and gluten free options. Finishers receive a medal and an event T shirt unless they opt out, and homemade hot food and hot drinks are available at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
