Punk Panther Autumn Headtorch Half
The Punk Panther Autumn Headtorch Half is a weekday headtorch trail event around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs on 6 October 2026. It offers three routed distances and uses reservoir trails and woodland paths.
Distances
- Half Marathon: two laps of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs; approx climb 800 ft
- 10 km: one lap of Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs; approx climb 400 ft
- 5 km: one lap of Swinsty Reservoir; approx climb 200 ft
The event has a maximum of 150 entrants and a minimum age of 16. Parking is at Swinsty Moor Car Park, North Lane, LS21 2NP; this is a pay and display car park with a £3 charge for 6 hours, card only. Registration is at the Punk Panther gazebo by the toilet block at the car park entrance. Toilets are available in the car park.
The course will not be taped. Competitors are expected to carry a head torch and a mobile phone with the race director’s number stored; competitors are asked to keep their phone switched on so organisers can contact them if necessary. A short race brief will be given at registration. Water is available at the gazebo after the first lap and at the finish. The finish line is at the edge of the woods before the road to the car park, and every finisher receives a medal. Entries are not accepted on the day. Final instructions will be emailed to competitors the week before the event. Results will be published online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
