Punch Out Ultra, Molino FL
Punch Out Ultra is an 8 hour trail event held on a private high-fence deer ranch in Molino, Florida. The course is an out and back loop that begins and ends beside a pond and runs across pine needle trails, sandy dirt roads, and grassy stretches. The property contains managed deer habitat and wildlife may be visible from the trail.
The lap distance is 4.2 miles. Each completed lap is recorded by a hole punch on the bib at the finish. Aid is provided as a full station at the start/finish and a water only station at the turnaround; the event is cupless so participants should plan accordingly. The event offers individual, four person team, and ruck divisions. Teams must have exactly four members and each team member must complete at least one lap for the team to qualify. The ruck division requires a 20 pound entry weight to be consistent across participants.
Rules require bibs to be worn and not swapped, staying on the right side of the trail, and completing full laps to count. Disqualification can result from off trail running, littering, harassment of wildlife, property damage, or other reckless behavior. A free kids race on a 0.3 mile loop is planned for ages 3 to 12 with an adult required to accompany the child. Facilities include restrooms, a covered barn, non potable water, space for tents, and a food truck. On site camping is not available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
