Event Overview
The Death by 5k challenge returns to Milton, Florida, held at the Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center. This endurance event requires participants to complete ten separate 5k runs over a 24-hour period. Each 5k segment begins exactly 2.5 hours apart. The total distance covered by those who complete all ten laps is 50 km.
Course Details
The race headquarters is located at The Barn, with the course consisting of a loop through the property alongside Coldwater Creek. The terrain features a mix of single-track trails containing roots and rocks, as well as packed sand roads used by ATVs.

Amenities and Logistics
Hot food is provided at four specific intervals throughout the 24-hour duration, supplemented by snacks, water, and electrolyte drinks available at all times. Participants may rest between laps in personal camping tents, hammocks, or vehicles. A grass field adjacent to the start line and race headquarters is designated for tent camping. These sites are available for a fee and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration and Participation
Initial entry is limited to 175 participants, with a waitlist formed once capacity is reached. All participants receive an event shirt and additional gear. Those who complete all ten segments receive a handmade finisher's coffin. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
