Death by 5k Coldwater Creek is a 24-hour challenge held over one weekend in February 2026. The format requires participants to complete ten 5 km loops within 24 hours, with each loop starting 2.5 hours after the previous one. The course is a loop through the property alongside Coldwater Creek and is mostly single track with roots and some rocks, plus sections of ATV-packed sand roads. Race headquarters is at a venue called The Barn. Hot food will be served at multiple points during the event; snacks, water and Gatorade will also be available. Participants receive an event shirt and other event swag; finishers receive a handmade finisher's coffin. Initial registration is limited to 175 participants, after which a waitlist will open.
Location and logistics
The event takes place Saturday to Sunday, February 14-15, 2026, in Milton, Florida (zip 32570) at Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center, 8974 Tomahawk Landing Rd. The listed entry price for the 24 Hour Challenge is $155. Tent campsites are available in an adjacent grass field for a fee of $20 per tent (up to four people per tent); campsites are first come, first served and are within a short walk of the start line and race headquarters.
