Prove It 5k and 10k
The Prove It 5k and 10k takes place at the GM Milford Proving Ground in Milford, Michigan. This event provides access to a private automotive testing facility that is typically closed to the public. The course features twists, high-performance curves, and significant elevation changes.
Participants can choose from several on-site distances:
- 5k: A single lap featuring 225 feet of elevation gain.
- 10k: Two laps of the course totaling 450 feet of elevation gain.
- Double Race (15k): Participants complete both the 10k and the 5k distances back-to-back.
The courses are USATF-certified, ensuring official distance measurements for all participants. Runners and walkers of all paces are permitted to participate. Registration options include a standard entry with a shirt and finisher's medal, or an economy package which excludes these items at a lower cost. Those who complete the Double Race receive a special award.
The event is part of the Trivium Michigan Mega Medal Series, a collection of six races where each individual medal connects to form a larger piece. Virtual participation options are also available for the 5k, 10k, and 15k distances, though virtual runners are not included in official results or eligible for awards.
