Carpe Diem - Carpe Noctem is a trail race day on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Proud Lake State Recreation Area, Commerce Township, Michigan (2928 Glengary Rd, Modern Campground). The event offers both daytime and evening races on the same course. Evening races start near sunset and many finish after dark, so night running equipment is recommended. The trails are described as wide and runnable with a few root sections. Courses are marked with turn signs at every intersection and confidence markers every 0.1 mile.

Registration includes a custom race hoodie, a custom medal for day and evening events (medals connect magnetically if both are completed), live results, race photography, and post-race food and drinks. An economy registration is available that excludes swag. Between day and evening races there is a community area with hot food, a potluck, lawn games, coffee, and space to relax. The refund policy states no refunds within 30 days of the event; earlier than 30 days a 50% refund request may be possible (processing fees excluded).
