Course and logistics

The 36 mile MTB is a point-to-point mountain bike course that includes short, steep, rocky climbs and descents; some sections may require riders to dismount and hike. The 15 mile MTB begins with a loop at the Pioneer Living History Museum, then follows the Maricopa Trail with the final miles containing most climbing. The 10 mile trail run follows Frogs Tank, Beardsley, Wild Burro and Pipeline Canyon trails, then retraces to the boat ramp.

Aid stations: two on the 36 mile course, one on the 15 mile, and one on the 10 mile; stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, snacks and fruit. The finish area aid station also offers an egg breakfast. Shuttles transport MTB racers and bikes from the finish to both start lines; a shuttle ticket is required. Camping is available in reserved group sites near Lane 10 Boat Ramp; a per-unit camping fee applies. Courses are marked with orange ribbon, reflective signs and WRONG WAY markers. Medical staff will be based at the start/finish headquarters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
