Course terrain includes rocks, sand, cactus, and gravel. Aid stations are located approximately every three to seven miles and provide water, an electrolyte drink, snacks, and fruit. The event is cupless; reusable cups are available at registration or participants may bring their own.
Logistics noted for longer distances include allowed drop bags at remote aid stations for the 50 Mile and 50K, crew access at the start and selected aid stations, and pacers permitted only at specified aid stations for the 50 Mile. Chip timing is used and finishers receive awards; top three finishers at each distance receive awards. A park entry fee of ten dollars per vehicle applies and on site camping is available at the park campground with developed sites and facilities. Medical staff are based at the start and finish headquarters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
