Holiday Classic Triathlon, Aquabike & Duathlon
The Holiday Classic is the 26th annual sprint multisport event held at the Anthem Community Center in Anthem, Arizona. The venue address is 41130 N Freedom Way, Anthem AZ 85086.
Distances offered include:
- Adult triathlon and relay: Swim 400 m, Bike 20 km (3 loops), Run 5 km
- Aquabike: Swim 400 m, Bike 20 km (3 loops)
- Duathlon: Run 5 km, Bike 20 km (3 loops), Run 5 km
- Youth triathlon (age 14 and under): Swim 200 m, Bike 4.5 miles, Run 0.5 mile
The swim takes place in a heated pool. Athletes enter feet first and diving is not allowed. Swim starts are organized so athletes enter the water individually. The bike course is 20 km for adults with a designated lane separating bike traffic from vehicles; adults complete three loops. The adult run is an out and back 5 km course. The youth run is an out and back 1/2 mile.
Race services include a race long sleeve hoodie, post-race refreshments, finisher medals for all participants, and awards for top three finishers in overall and age group categories. Chip timing is used; chips must be worn on the left ankle and returned at the finish. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and participants must hold an annual membership or purchase a one day membership.
