Holiday Classic Triathlon, Aquabike & Duathlon
The 26th annual Anthem Holiday Classic is a sprint multisport event held at the Anthem Community Center in Anthem, Arizona. The event includes individual and relay triathlon, aquabike, duathlon and a youth triathlon. The pool is heated. The bike course uses a designated lane separated from vehicular traffic. The run course is an out and back.
Distances for each race are:
- Adult triathlon and relay: 400 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Aquabike: 400 m swim, 20 km bike
- Duathlon: 5 km run, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Youth triathlon (age 14 and under): 200 m swim, 4.5 mi bike, 0.5 mi run
Racer amenities include a race long sleeve hoodie, post race refreshments, finisher medals for all participants and awards for top three finishers in each category. The event is chip timed by the organizer; chips must be worn on the left ankle, returned at the finish and may incur a charge if lost. The race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and participants must hold an annual membership or purchase a one day membership. Parking is at the Anthem Community Center; that lot often fills and an alternate parking area is available at Anthem Community Park with provided coordinates.
