Preston Fast 5 Road Race
Preston Fast 5 Road Race is scheduled for 20 May 2026 at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston. The event is organised by Preston Harriers and is one of a series of Wednesday evening races held in spring and early summer.
The course is a flat, traffic free 5K laid out as three laps on a one mile lap cycle track. The route has no tight corners and is described as accurately measured. The event is presented as a no frills race with no prizes.
Each evening includes two separate races by anticipated finishing time: Race 1 for runners under 18:00 minutes with an entry limit of 60, and Race 2 for runners over 18:00 minutes with an entry limit of 80. The minimum age to compete is 16 on the day of the race.
Entries open on 1 April 2026 and close on 18 May 2026. Entry fees are UKA Member £7.00 and Non Member £9.00. Entries are handled online through SiEntries; there are no entries on the day. Race numbers can be collected on race day from 5.45pm. Toilet facilities are available at the Sports Arena.
