Event Overview
The Central Lancashire Junior and Super Sprint Duathlon is a multi-sport event held at the UCLAN Sports Arena in Preston. The competition utilizes the specialized facilities of the University of Central Lancashire, including a dedicated cycling crit track and an athletics track. All segments of the junior races take place within the arena grounds, providing a traffic-free environment for participants.
The event features various categories tailored to different age groups, starting from age 8 through to adults. The courses are chip-timed to provide accurate results for all athletes. Participants are required to use their own safe bicycle, a helmet, and standard running trainers.

- Tristar 1 (Ages 9-10): 1200m Run / 3km Bike Ride / 400m Run
- Tristar 2 (Ages 11-12): 1500m Run / 6km Bike Ride / 600m Run
- Tristar 3 (Ages 13-14): 2km Run / 7.5km Bike Ride / 800m Run
- Super Sprint (Age 15+): 2km Run / 12km Bike Ride / 2km Run
- Sprint (Age 15+): 4.8km Run / 19.5km Bike Ride / 3.2km Run
Facilities and Support
The venue includes on-site parking for attendees. During the event, water stations and sweets are available to participants.
