PFW Running - Spring Farm Yard
The PFW Running - Spring Farm Yard is a 5-mile road race organized in partnership with Farm Yard Brew Co. The event takes place in May and serves as the first installment of a three-part series held throughout the year, followed by summer and festive editions.
The course is located at Gulf Lane in Lancaster and is officially measured and held under a road running license. Participants follow a flat route that starts and finishes at the brewery. The path leads runners along Gulf Lane, offering views of the surrounding countryside and the hills of the Trough of Bowland.
The race features specific amenities tailored to the brewery setting:

A mid-way aid station provides liquid refreshments, with beer and water available to runners. Upon returning to the brewery and completing the distance, participants receive a voucher for a pint of beer or a soft drink rather than a traditional medal.
On-site facilities include free parking for attendees. The brewery tap room opens in the late afternoon for both participants and spectators, and a street food vendor is present to provide meals for purchase. Registered runners are entered into a prize draw for a selection of beverages, which is conducted on the day of the event. Medical cover and marshals are positioned along the course to assist.
