Event Overview
The Spring Farm Yard Five is a 5-mile running event starting and finishing at the Farm Yard Brew Co. brewery on Gulf Lane, Lancaster. The date is Thursday, May 14, 2026.
Course Details
The course is accurately measured, flat, and fast. It heads out along Gulf Lane with views over open countryside and the Trough of Bowland hills. The event is held under a road running license and includes medical cover and friendly marshals.
On-Site Amenities
An aid station stocked with beer (with water as an option) is provided halfway. There is free parking available. The brewery tap room is open from 5pm for runners and spectators. A street food vendor serves fresh food for purchase.
Entry Inclusions

- A beer for all finishers (in the form of a voucher for a free pint of beer or soft drink; no medals are given).
- Entry into a draw for six cans of Farm Yard Brew Co. beers, held prior to the race start.
- Entry into a series of three beer runs in 2026, which includes the Summer Farm Yard Five and Festive Farm Yard Five. Entering all three events also awards a Farm Yard Brew beer glass.
