PFW Running - Spring Farm Yard Five
The Spring Farm Yard Five is a 5-mile running event. It is the first of a series of three beer-themed runs in 2026, which also includes the Summer Farm Yard Five and Festive Farm Yard Five. It is possible to enter all three runs together at a reduced cost.
The event starts and finishes at Farm Yard Brew Co. in Gulf Lane, Lancaster. The course heads out along Gulf Lane, offering views over open countryside and the Trough of Bowland hills. The organizers describe the course as fast and flat, and it is accurately measured.
A notable feature of the event is a stocked aid station at the halfway point, which offers beer (water is an optional alternative). After finishing, each participant receives a voucher for a free pint of beer or a soft drink. All entrants' names are also entered into a draw to win six cans of Farm Yard Brew Co. beers, with the draw taking place on race day.
The tap room at the brewery is open for runners and spectators, and a street food vendor will be present. Other inclusions with the entry fee are medical cover, friendly marshals, and free parking.
