PrairieFest 5K and One Mile Prairie Dog Jog - Oswego, IL
PrairieFest is a community running event on June 21, 2026, held at 313 East Washington Street, Oswego, Illinois. The program includes two distances: a chip-timed 5K through local neighborhoods and a One Mile Prairie Dog Jog around Prairie Point Community Park.

Medals are awarded to first through third place finishers in each 5K age group. The 5K also presents overall first-place male and female awards by gun time. The one-mile race recognizes the first-place finisher and the first-place dog finisher.
All runners registered by June 3 are guaranteed a shirt; after that date shirts are available while supplies last. The event states there are no refunds for athletic events. Registration fees increase as the event approaches, and race-day registration is offered at a higher rate.
Packet pickup is available at the PrairieFest Information Booth on Thursday, June 18 (evening) and Saturday, June 20 (midday). Race-day packet pickup occurs at the Grove Center (3220 Grove Rd.). Participants may pick up packets for others if they present a picture of the other participant’s driver’s license.
