PrairieFest 5K & One Mile Prairie Dog Jog
PrairieFest includes a chip-timed 5K run through neighborhoods in Oswego and a One Mile Prairie Dog Jog routed around Prairie Point Community Park. The event is organized by the Oswegoland Park District with timing and scoring provided by ShaZam Racing. It takes place at 313 East Washington Street, Oswego, IL.

Awards are given for overall 5K winners by gun time and for age-group placings by net time. The 5K awards include medals for first through third place finishers in each age group; age groups cover youth through 70 and over. The One Mile event recognizes the first-place finisher and a first-place dog finisher. An awards ceremony is scheduled following the races.
Packet pickup is available on the days before the event and on race day at the Grove Center (3220 Grove Rd.). Participants who register by June 3 are guaranteed a shirt; shirts may be available as supplies last after that date. Registration fees vary by date. There are no refunds for athletic events.
